26 New Zealand male survivors share their personal stories of sexual abuse

In a new publication that records the last 10 years in the development of Tautoko Tāne Aotearoa, you will read the stories of 26 Tautoko Tāne staff and clients who have generously shared their survivor experiences to raise awareness of the impacts of sexual violence and to support the important work of the only national network in New Zealand that is dedicated to enabling the wellbeing of male survivors.

Engagement on National Strategy and Action Plans to eliminate family violence and sexual violence launched

The government is inviting feedback from tangata whenua, victim-survivors, communities throughout the country, service providers and individuals.

The government has launched work to develop a National Strategy and Action plans to eliminate family violence and sexual violence in Aotearoa New Zealand. The Joint Venture is coordinating this work.

This consultation starts on 12 May 2021 and ends on 30 June 2021.  After the consultation, there will be hui with key stakeholders to bring together the feedback. It is expected a National Strategy and Action Plans will be delivered in October 2021.
